Description

I was to donate prizes for the Winners of MariosLostGirl's 2014 Autumn Contest; and I gave my offer~
:iconmarioslostgirls: Trophy
The Prize for the 1st Place Winner was to be: a traditional AND digital sketch of their princess
Thus! This prize goes to :iconawesomebyaccident: Congrats!

( SO very sorry for the long wait! I was working on this way back since I first said I was, I promise..
..but I have a problem.. ^^; I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and when I can't quite reach the perfection I want, I procrastinate. I'm an INFJ.
BUT! Enough about me.

Princess Lillian by AwesomebyAccidentPrincess Lillian; a truly distinct Princess among the gallery of MariosLostGirls, and one I never had the chance to draw. Seeing my chance to draw one of AwesomebyAccident's OCs, I chose her happily. I read her story, and I found her daring and with a mind of her own. And for this rather dignified Princess, I wanted to create this perfect prize drawing of the moment she made her rebellion known; the moment she cut and shaved off her hair in defiance of her family. My underlying traditional sketch does make it hard to tell her expression, but I didn't want to completely hide it with the digital overlay.
I hoped to capture a serious look, realizing the severity of her actions, the consequences of her choice.. and doing so, inwardly smirking as well. Not easy, but hey, I never make things easy for myself   and quite frankly, I don't think Princess Lillian would want things easy either~

(I only wish I could've done more, but I had to curb myself. I dearly hope this pleases the prize winner, and presents the princess for the masses in the way she'd like. What courage~!

You wanted perfection and you achieved it! There's literally no other word for this, it's perfect from the drawing itself (her expression in particular, you did amazing) to the description below. You've really caught Lillian's personality, of course she wouldn't want things easy, and if they were, she'd find a way to make it difficult!

Thank you so much for the prize, it's well worth the wait, the time and dedication you took really shows. I love it! I wish I'd been able to comment sooner, but I've been busy with work!
